Frequently asked questions

About treatment with us

Do you cover my part of the coast?

Nyali, Bamburi, Shanzu, Mombasa Island and Mtwapa as standard. Diani and the south coast are by arrangement: the Likoni Ferry makes it a long trip, so those are planned days rather than short notice.

How is this different from hospital physiotherapy?

Continuity. In a hospital department you are one slot in a long list and often see whoever is free. Here the same therapist follows you through, and remembers what happened last time.

Can you treat me at my hotel?

Yes. Guests who have injured themselves on holiday and staff working shift patterns are both a routine part of our week along the beach strip.

Do I need a referral?

No. Book directly. If we think you need a scan or a doctor first, we will say so and help you arrange it.

How many sessions will it take?

Four to six for most straightforward problems. You get an honest range after the first assessment. If four sessions have not shifted things, we look for another explanation rather than booking a fifth.

Does the heat affect treatment?

It affects the programme more than the treatment. Swelling tends to be worse in humidity, so elevation and compression matter more, and we schedule exercise for the cooler parts of the day rather than midday.

What should I wear?

Something you can move in, and that gives access to the area being treated: shorts for a knee, a vest for a shoulder.

How do I pay?

M-Pesa or card, after the session. Itemised receipts provided for insurance claims.

What if physiotherapy is not what I need?

We say so and point you to the right person. It happens often enough to be worth stating plainly.
