Conditions we treat

Plain explanations of what is going on, how long it usually takes to settle, and the warning signs that mean you should see a doctor rather than a physiotherapist.

Lower Back Pain

The commonest reason people come to us, and one of the most over-treated. Most of it settles, with loading rather than rest.

Neck Pain

Stiffness, restricted turning, and headaches that build through the day, usually driven by sustained position rather than injury.

Knee Pain

Several quite different problems share the name. The treatment depends entirely on which one you have: which is what an assessment is for.

Shoulder Pain

Pain reaching overhead, and pain that stops you sleeping on that side: usually a rotator cuff problem, and usually treatable without surgery.

Sciatica

Pain travelling from the back into the leg. Frightening, usually not dangerous, and in most cases it resolves without surgery.

Arthritis

Physiotherapy will not reverse joint changes. It does reliably reduce pain, improve what you can do, and frequently postpone surgery by years.

Frozen Shoulder

Slow, painful, and eventually self-limiting. Treatment manages pain and protects range, and anyone promising a quick fix is not being straight with you.

Stroke Recovery

Rehabilitation at home across the coast: because frequency over months drives recovery, and the journey is what usually stops it.

Book a physiotherapist on the coast
